Yoshi's Safari with the SNES Mouse
Nintendo's 1993 rail shooter was made for the Super Scope, a light gun that only works on CRT TVs. This patch swaps it for the SNES Mouse: the game plays on any TV, on emulators and on flash carts — with a crosshair on screen.
What the patch does
- Reads the SNES Mouse in controller port 2, where the Super Scope would go, and feeds the game the same position and buttons the Scope would.
- Draws a crosshair sprite on top of everything; its colors are picked from the scene's own palettes so it stays visible.
- The crosshair is exactly where the shot lands, whatever calibration was made on the “adjust the aim” screen.
- Menus, story, stages and bosses play as in the original — only the input changed.
